Why language matters
Some feelings are easier to say in your first language
For many people, it’s easier to talk about emotions, family roles, migration and identity in the language that feels most natural. You may be able to say things more fully when you don’t have to translate them first.
Speak in Mandarin, English, or move between both
Name family and cultural dynamics more naturally
Feel understood in the context of immigration and bicultural life
Skip the pressure of explaining every nuance from scratch

Do I need a doctor’s referral?
No. You can book directly with a Registered Clinical Counsellor. Some extended health plans ask for a referral before they reimburse counselling, so it’s worth checking your plan.

Do you work with CVAP or offer direct billing?
Yes. I’m an approved counselling provider for BC’s Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP) and can bill CVAP directly for eligible clients. Mention CVAP when you contact me so we can confirm your coverage.
